Sensitivity level settings

Alert sensitivity determines the radiation threshold level at which tawkon provides alerts and action prompts. Research indicates that younger users are more vulnerable to mobile phone radiation. Therefore children and adolescents may set the tawkon alert to be more sensitive, while older or low-volume mobile phone users may prefer a less sensitive setting with less frequent alerts and prompts.

Suggestion logic is based on the least disruptive action given the user’s current environmental factors and usage. Live feedback shows how effective recommended actions were in reducing radiation exposure, and help educate and accustom users to naturally practice more responsible mobile phone usage during daily calls.

Keep phone distant from your body*	Mobile phone radiation can affect any body part, not only the head. You may be using a precautionary measure such as Bluetooth or wired headset, but the phone itself is against your body (e.g. on your lap or in your pocket). Higher levels of radiation expose that body part to risks associated with mobile phone radiation.	You will be notified when exposure to mobile phone radiation has been avoided by sufficiently distancing the phone from your body.
You’re talking while traveling*. Activate speaker or headset	Radiation increases as the phone switches (handovers) between cell towers . Therefore talking while driving can be hazardous even while traveling as a passenger in a car or train.	tawkon notifies you when exposure to mobile phone radiation has been avoided by activating a speaker or headset, reducing travel speed or other environmental factors.
Your phone is horizontal*. Hold it vertical (or vice versa)	Changing the phone’s position and therefore the antenna polarity may impact radiation emitted from the phone. This often occurs without noticing e.g. when lying down during a call.	tawkon notifies you when the phone is sufficiently rotated to return radiation to the previous levels below your alert threshhold.
Higher radiation zone. Changing location may help.	Many factors can increase mobile phone radiation levels such as poor reception, increased signal strenth, distance from cellular base stations, geographic terrain, network coverage and other factors. This alert indicates that according to the tawkon algorithm, radiation exposure may be reduced by changing your current location.	tawkon alerts you when changing location did help reduce absorbed radiation levels. If changing location didn't help, another alert will offer an alternative suggestion based on additional data collected during the current call.
Your phone radiation is high. Activate speaker or headset	Distancing the phone from your head and body will help reduce the impact of mobile phone radiation. This action is however the most disruptive during a phone call, and is therefore recommended only when other easier, less disruptive alternatives such as moving back or changing phone orientation (from horizontal to vertical hand grip) would not help to avoid exposure under current environmental conditions.	tawkon recognizes the activation of speaker or headset and notifies you that this action in fact helped minimize your exposure to mobile phone radiation, and you can talk on…
