Update: tawkon Free Trial Version For BlackBerry Now Available

We’ve received a lot of questions from tawkon users and fans about how tawkon works and how it helps minimize exposure to radiation during calls.

Based on your feedback we’ve just launched a full-featured FREE TRIAL version of tawkon that is active for 75 monitored calls on all supported BlackBerry devices.

With this FREE TRIAL version, as with the original application, tawkon silently monitors changing radiation levels and subtly alerts you when you reach the pre-defined threshold, offering a simple instruction to lower radiation levels at the time. You’ll also receive quick feedback to confirm that radiation levels did in fact return to the “Green Zone” (low radiation). When not on a call (we call this prediction mode) you can see low, moderate and high radiation levels any time by just clicking on the tawkon icon on your BlackBerry home screen.

You can get both tawkon and the free trial on our website as well as several app stores including Mobihand and in a few days on Handango & AppWorld.

Based on your feedback we’ve also clarified how tawkon works on our technology page.

User feedback is very important to us. As you can see, you help us improve our product – so please keep the feedback coming!

    Hi

I have just purchased TAWKON for Blackberry Bold 9780 and it works fine BUT when I am at home my phone uses a UMA connection to my wireless network and this causes my LOW indication to go RED and I don’t really understand why. Not sure if this is the right place to ask that question but cannot fine another Contact link. By the way I am on an Orange UK mobile network.

    Hi Peter,
I’ll contact you offline as I need more inputs in order to understand the exact user scenario you describe.
generally speaking, when your phone switches to UMA its still connected to the cellular network so you should still get indications,
